Shrimati Hasmukhgauri Shah Primary & Secondary school was established in the year 1964, immediately after the start of J. M. Shah Arts & Commerce College by Janta Kelavani Mandal. Enthused by the response to the college and encouraged by the leading citizens, and there being only one other school in Jambusar, Janta Kelavani Mandal agreed to start the primary & Secondary School. Seth Shri Shantilal Shah, a leading leader & member of Janta Kelavani member expressed the need of the School & provided Rs. 60,000/- as seed capital to start the school. Shri Narharibhai Chokshi was requested to take charge of the construction of the school building and complete it expeditiously.

After some initial hiccups occurring due to lack of experienced principal & teaching staff, Janta Kelavani Mandal in the 2nd year appointed Shri Occhavalal Mohanlal Shah as the principal and under his patient & dedicated nature and nurturing, the School Specialy progressed. This could be seen from turn out of the smart bright students and a greatly improved result year after year & was recognized a “good school” in Bharuch district for 3 continuous years. The school is located on a campus with large play ground & with all facilities such as computer lab, audio visual software for English, Math & Science, drinking water facilities, toilets etc
